Rocky Mountain High – An Evening of John Denver
A Rocky Mountain High Christmas
Concert series celebrating the music of John Denver.
Featuring John Denver’s original conductor-arranger Lee Holdridge conducting symphonies across Canada with his original arrangements. Together with Canadian recording artist Rick Worrall and a Canadian Allstar band with Steve Worrall(Canadian recording artist) , Gary Smyth(guitar), Scott Grant(Drums and Percussion), Brian McMahon(Bass) Chris Stevens (Banjo) Susan Aylard(Fiddle and Violin), Neville Bowman(piano) and Delphine Litke (vocals) this amazing celebration is not to be missed!
Although classified as a “tribute”, unlike most, no one dresses up like John Denver, instead the focus is entirely on the music and with Mr. Holdridge conducting his original scores, and vocalists staying true to John Denver’s style, the night is magic!
As well as John Denver, Lee Holdridge has penned countless scores for both TV shows and motion pictures, and has either written, arranged, or conducted for numerous other respected pop artists, including Barbra Streisand, Brian May of Queen, Stevie Wonder, Al Jarreau, Dionne Warwick, Diana Ross, Natalie Cole, and opera tenor Placido Domingo. He has won seven Emmy’s and two Grammy’s.
Having Lee Holdridge conduct is more than a special treat, it promises to be a very memorable occasion that will be talked about for years to come.
