Justin Moore, born into the realm of classical music as the son of two professional opera singers, Paul and Melina Moore, is a native of Vernon, British Columbia. He began his French immersion training at the tender age of five at L’Ecole Beairsto, continuing at W.L. Seaton Secondary School, where he will graduate in 2018. Justin studied classical piano and music theory under the tutelage of Lucy Feldman at the Vernon Community Music School, guitar training from James Taylor, formerly of The Goods, and continues to receive vocal training from both his parents.

A lyric tenor with natural vocal ability, Justin was discovered by Rosemary Thomson, Artistic Director and Conductor of the Okanagan Symphony Orchestra in 2009. He performed in the OSO’s winter production of “The Snowman,” singing Howard Blake’s iconic “Walking in the Air” at the age of nine. The following year, Justin was invited back to join the OSO’s Matinee Series, performing Bist Du Bei Mir (J.S. Bach) with the orchestra. He has appeared in full musical productions of Les Miserables (Gavroche), Mel Brooks’ The Producers (ensemble), Gilbert & Sullivan’s Pirates of Penzance (ensemble), all with Big Apple Productions and Valley Vocal Arts. Justin has also been appearing in concert with Paul and Melina Moore in productions spanning the years, including “A Merry Moore Christmas” and “Spring is in the Aria” (2004-2014).

Justin J. Moore also owns and operates his own music-teaching business, and is also a songwriter who has released several songs which were produced and mastered by him.
