
Melina Schein, a native of Buenos Aires, Argentina, grew up in New York City and received her undergraduate training at The Juilliard School. A versatile lyric coloratura, Schein has performed in opera houses and theatres across the United States, Canada and Argentina. She is a featured soloist in concert and oratorio with symphonies nationwide and on CBC Radio Two. Schein’s current national touring productions include “The Phantom Returns” with legendary Phantom of the Opera, Peter Karrie, “Soprano on the Loose” celebrating the Golden Age of Hollywood, and “Music of the Night,” a tribute to Andrew Lloyd Webber, with Sound the Alarm Music/Theatre and Creative BC. Schein is the founder and director of Valley Vocal Arts and Big Apple Productions in Vernon, British Columbia, training the next generation of theatre artists and bringing mainstage Broadway productions to Okanagan audiences.
